Open canoeing is a suitable activity for all ages and abilities and is a wonderfully relaxing way to enjoy the landscape and wildlife in places like Loch Morlich, Loch Insh and on the River Spey through Insh Marshes.
Loch Insh to Aviemore on the River Spey gives many opportunities for you to learn a few basic paddle strokes so that you can have fun paddling the rapids whilst learning new skills and is the choice of many people who like the idea of trying things out on the Loch before heading down river.
Open canoeing is a great way of journeying and there are so many wonderful places to go!
Open canoes are very stable and can be paddled solo, tandem or rafted in pairs to give extra stability for people who are nervous or less able.
No Limits, a group of families with children and young adults with a variety of abilities come to us twice a year for a Rafted Canoe journey on Loch Morlich, we have 3 sessions during the day so that everyone who wants to can participate.
We can coach you with just the right amount of skills to allow you to paddle safely and have fun or we can help you develop your skills towards a recognised paddle award.
